Feeding the family πŸ‘¨πŸΎπŸ‘©πŸΎπŸ‘§πŸΎπŸ‘§πŸΎπŸ‘¦πŸΎπŸ‘ΆπŸΎ

When it comes to feeding a hungry family we all try to work in budget friendly but tasty meals. A few years ago I went online searching for ways of shopping and not just buying things and later putting them together. This can cause boredom with food and repetition. I would buy the same meats, side dishes and later throw something together. Eventually my family got so sick of that even I got sick of it. So I decided to plan out my meals and shop according to the meals and of course threw in snacks and produce.

This is an example of how I set up my board here at home. I have five section labeled: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Miscellaneous and Snacks. Under each I write down what I need for them. Example for breakfast I put down what we need like Bagels, eggs, milk etc and I continue that for the rest of the columns.

To the bottom right of the board I place meals for the next two weeks. Now we don't eat these meals in order, it's more of a template for what we want to eat. Some meals may result in leftovers so I would also include that. The way my family eats that's rare lol! I normally plan out the meals than I write down what I need under each section. This saves me from buying food I know I probably won't want to cook because I just picked them up. For example I would buy the flavored rice in a box because I wanted something different but in return they are just sitting in my pantry because I know I didn't want them in the first place. This saves me money and when planning out your meals gives you the opportunity to try different things. I love to cook so this is awesome for me!!!!  once that is complete than I'll add in snacks and whatever else we want.
