The children

Image
Whether we want to believe it or not the children in our lives play a very special and important role! Although we feed, clothe and take care of them (which is our job) they add so much value and purpose to life that we should treat them as such. It's really easy to get tied up and busy with all that life throws at you but again these kids of our didn't as to be here so it shouldn't reflect as such. I said this to say do you value the littles you have in your life? Do they know how important they are to you? Do make them feel that they are special? With so much hate going on in this world it's up to us to show our children they mean the world to us. Now I'm not saying they are perfect little angels lol but I am saying the way they turn out as an adult begins with the molding and shaping we do as parents and guardians. As parents we know life can overwhelm us so bad and we just break down and hide in a dark corner. But reality of it all is we can't do that to th...

***Completely Incomplete***

*****This specific post is for my Moms who are in committed relationships and have been for a couple years now!      So you're a mom and have a partner/spouse etc. You've placed yourself on the back of the life bus because everyone else's needs came before yours. Now and you're wondering what's next? Is that you right now? Well I myself have been there too, I was so hurt because like any other person I had dreams and goals I wanted to pursue them BUT everyone else came before me. Have no fear if you really want to follow your dreams by all means go ahead. Now it's not going to be easy but at the end of the day if that's what you want it'll be worth it. Think about how much it'll make you feel better doing things you're very passionate about. I know for me I feel my purpose is to help those in need. That's why I birthed this blog and my YouTube videos. Of course things aren't moving as fast as I would like but they are moving, so I'...

You are perfect!

Image
I'm sorry for the misleading title but honey you are NOT perfect and even though everyone looks for you to be, YOU have to remember you aren't. We as moms have to remember we can only be and do so much and when some things go lacking it's actually OK. If you have a full household as I do than you know or you're in the process of realizing you can't be everywhere at once and get everything done how the rest of the house would love for you to. We get so beat down and criticize ourselves so badly for not being all that we can be. I mean you are human right? I know I am, so I can't do the things that require me to be everywhere or do things that all need to be done at once. That's why we have to set schedules for ourselves. WE have to, not someone else. Many of us find ourselves envious of those who have  what we consider it to be a little "easier". Truth be told they probably have it worse than  we do b...

The Most un-followed rule of parenting and why TODAY you must start following it!

Image
You're right you read the title correctly. I'm going to give you the most un-followed rule in parenting and explain briefly why you should follow it today. You ready? OK the rule is: STOP LETTING PEOPLE TELL YOU HOW OR WHAT YOU SHOULD DO AS A PARENT! Did you really think I was gonna give you rules on how to take care of your children? If you did let me stop you here by simply and respectfully saying Honey, EVERY child is different so there is no rule book nor a manual on how YOU should parent your child/ren. I know I know I know I've searched the libraries, book stores etc scouring the book isle for some sort of book. I've found plenty on what people THINK you should do but those don't always work. See we all are raising different types of little people. Now these doctors and book writers can only give you a vague range of how kids act or what we SHOULD expect from a child at a certain age. Contrary to their belief all kids don't do things...

Don't be so hard on yourself

Image
Pause for just a second, how have you been treating yourself? Have you been taking some time out and at least giving yourself some time to breath? or have you been so busy because you feel if you're not being productive your wasting time? Honey let me tell you, I'm the type of person if I'm not doing something productive I feel like I'm just wasting my life away. Listen mom, we have so many jobs and the pay isn't great at all. We get no sick days and no PTO! We work 24-7 and vacations are rare, so when I say it's OK not to be so hard on yourself I mean it. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have three children: 9,2, and 1. So my hands are pretty full especially this summer.  A normal errand free day in my household consists of Waking up, making breakfast, clean something in the house, give everyone a snack, clean something else, eat lunch, TRY TO MAKE THEM NAP AT THE SAME TIME, fix or clean something e...

You are not alone!

Image
As I was sitting here watching iZombie (hey this mom has her favs), Something prompted to me to write a post about how us MOMS are not alone. We all seem to feel we are the only ones going through what-ever it is we're dealing with at the time. I'm here to tell you that almost all mothers either been where you are or will be in some time. Life can be this vicious cycle, if we let it. I know it's easier to just let life take over and quit, but you cannot quit! We have other people (the littles) depending on us, their every move is looked for from us. Without moms kids feel so lost and misguided. I always tell people crying is OK . So many people have been taught crying is a sign of weakness, when in reality it's a sign of strength. You are strong enough to even be vulnerable, that I say is a very strong characteristic. Never let anyone, not even a parent tell you crying is for the weak. I'm a military spouse something I don't like to share via...

It's what I do!

Some people may feel their number one goal is to have a family and a successful career. That's awesome but sometimes it doesn't always work out that way.Take me for instance; I became a mom at a very delicate age (my early twenties). From there I went to college and a little later got married. Normally it's the other way around; college, marriage and than children. Some people say its' OK to not do it in the order but that's honestly sending our younger generation the wrong message. Not to mention it's super hard when you do it backwards trust me I know! But as I sit here and type all the things that are running through my mind, a smile graces my face because through it all I made it and now I'm in (what I feel) a successful career. A WIFE,MOM,PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER AND NOW BLOGGER! I know some of you are wondering "How in the world do you call that a successful career?" I say that because at first it was the most hated thing in my life unt...
